This book is a photo tour of the islands with photos of Cape Verde taken in the 70s or 80s in the dry season. It shows the rural culture and typical dress and life that hadn’t changed much when I was there in the 90s. Tourism has exploded there in the new millennium so there are many more options for travel and touring. The book also missed the opportunity to showcase the stark contrast between the wet and dry seasons: brown & dry vs green and lush, but it is a lovely picture book of the islands.
