I have the 1988 edition. Great book for those planting trees in Texas. Has a 1 page technical description and a bit of history of each type of tree and shrub. Complete with regional maps of growing areas.

Has a section of color photos which are useful, but not large enough in every case for use in tree identification. Perhaps other editions improve upon that.
