Finn and Nathan have both been running from their demons for far too long.
Finn was Welsh rugby royalty, but a series of scandals connected to his playboy, party-hard lifestyle has caused him to exile himself to the tiny village where he grew up. A confrontation in a local pub and a job offer to put him back on his feet are enough to give him the kick he needs to start making changes to his lifestyle. But he can’t escape his demons forever
Nathan spent a long time running from the little village of Pontycae. But his father’s illness has forced him to come home and face his fears. Bullies from his past and an awful ex haunting his time back home are making it difficult to fit in. But when an international rugby star saves him from a bar brawl, his world is turned upside down.
Nathan and Finn have to face their fears somehow, or risk being held back forever. Their natural chemistry and attraction to each other is obvious to anyone, but they both have to face those fears if they have any hope of moving on with their lives. And they might just hold the key to helping one another to heal.
Lord of the Lock is a 50,000 word M/M Romance with plenty of humour, angst, and a sprinkle of spice. The book is part of the Rucking Rugby Men series but can be read standalone. HEA guaranteed.
URGHHH i loved how the boys made a reappearance in this ! Fin & Naths story was so so so beautiful and I was so happy when it got to the end. Lotsssss of trigger warnings which was valid but yeah I really enjoyed this 😊

When I read Pitch Prince, I knew it deeply that my babe Finn is such a hottie cutie baby!! I am going to fall in love with his story very much.
Reading his book with Nathan got me wooowing and punching my legs in the air every single time. I love it so much reading how far Nathan went to stand up for himself. I used to be called a faggot and bullied. Reading this got me cry at some part, cause Nathan past story was very much like mine.
I love this book so much, how protective Finn was for his Nathan. The ending though? I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK!!
Wishing there will be more in the future... Kuddos to Matt Peters, I love you for your books!

A really emotional story how the macho image of rugby players can show that underneath there’s a true life normal bloke enjoying life and love with his partner.
When I realized this was a fake dating trope book, I wasn't that keen. But as I read it I found that I didn't mind as much because it twisted that trope a little. I appreciated the way this book delved a little deeper into the emotional turmoil that drove many of the characters actions. Both MMCs were so sweet with each other that I was able to overlook some of my nitpicks with the pacing, some typos, and some plot inconsistencies that could have been caught in editing.
Ahhhhh... The topic of queer bullying... Something most gay men experience... The trauma caused by these experiences was written with respect with regard of the trigger-possibility.
This is book 2 of the series, and continues the MM romance development with different characters, but the right level of spice, again.
I’ve only recently gotten into sport romance but this is my favorite by far. I knew there had to be more to Finn since the first book but I never knew I’d love him this much. His lesson on consent had me in tears. This will be a definite reread for sure!
Do you know how difficult it is to find good rugby fiction? Especially good rugby fiction with Welsh characters! This book is everything I've been looking for the last couple of years.
This book lives rent free in my head, for their relationship and how it progresses and how the mcs need each other for protection and emotional comfort.
