This book was about a 400 years old Men, 350 to 400 years old men, and 300 women talking what happened in old Japan. I like when 2 old mens were talking about where did they came from and what happened in their life. Old men and women are family, and another old men has his wife, but she is not there, a place that old people were talking. This book is written by other peoson, not 2 old men nor 1 old women. Some young women wrote this, a young women was listening old people's talk from little far place. It talks from a time that old emperor was ruling to a time that Fujiwara rules, and most had a power. I like this book because in this story, there was many important events in Japanese history. There is a time when people started a newway of politic, and also there was a way how did Fujiwara got a very strong power. There was a men called Fujiwarano Michinaga, and he was 4th boy in his family. At that time, first born boy can only be a next leader of that family, but how did Michinaga became a leader even he was 4th born boy? Because his 3olderbrothers all died before they became a leader. Michinaga had 4 girls, and first girl called Shoshi married with Ichijyo emperor (person who were emperor at that time) and 2nd girl, Kenshi, she married with Sanjyo emperor. 3rd girl called Ishi married to Goichijyo emperor. He was a boy born between Ichijyo emperor and Shoshi. Kishi, a 4th girl married to Gosanjyo emperor. By this way,Fujiwara family got a strong relationship between emperor family, and got a strong power.
