Turtles are so variable and could always use countless photos for each species, but it's great to have identifying photos of each of these species together in one volume for easy comparison. My state only has a couple of cooters, but it's good to be able to separate them from other species in the region when I'm outside my local area. This is my go-to in-the-field guide, but I will usually back it up when I get home with some other sources.
