I appreciate that the author mostly just stuck to the facts, as it seems that many children's biographies often push an agenda. The book contains quite a number of historical photos that enhance the read and help increase your knowledge of Franklin's life and the times he lived in.

Reading Level: 3rd - 5th grades

Cleanliness: Mentions Franklin and Deborah Read's common law marriage - that they had been living "together long enough to be considered married."
