Wallacavage cut his teeth in photography shooting photos for Thrasher, Skateboard Magazine and later Transworld, Strength and Slap. Ranging from the sublime to the surreal to the silly, his colorful photos quickly began to draw attention outside of the world of skaters. Over the past decade, Adam Wallacavage has photographed several important artists of our time including Barry McGee and Rebecca Westcott, shot great underground bands and captured amazing moments in the evolution of the art collective underground in the US most notably Space 1026 in Philadelphia, PA and Fort Thunder in Providence, RI. His photos are all informed by the colorful and dynamic style he developed as a skateboard photographer.
