For the Birds

"Oh, no! Everyone thinks we're heroes!" Michelle is not happy when she's teamed up with Rachel Tilly for the class bird watching assignment. But then they find a Cassin's Finch -- a bird that's hardly ever seen in San Francisco. Now a reporter wants to write about Michelle and Rachel. Even put their pictures in the newspaper! How cool is that? Totally cool! Until Michelle finds out the bird they saw isn't really a Cassin's Finch. She wants to tell the truth right away. But Rachel has another idea. One that just might save the day...or get them in big, big trouble!

I feel like this has been the year of nostalgia reads for me, and you know it’s actually pretty fun. I recently was going through some boxes of my old books from when I was a kid, and I still remembered reading this particular title (and another in the series).

This series follows Michelle, the youngest Tanner in a very Full House, and her days with her friends and classmates. This particular book focuses on Michelle getting paired with the mean girl in the class for a class project all about bird watching. Mistakes are made and it’s up to the characters whether or not they choose to do the right thing.

Most of the characters from the show are just mentioned in passing, with a couple of occasions of brief dialogue.

Overall a fun little read!
