Not sure exactly why I even own this pook from The Writer's Library. It is really a Freshman Compositon book with short stories, exerpts and essays around the topic of life experience from childhood to death. For someone interested in writing, the exercises at the conclusion of each text could be a jumping point. I really enjoyed reading the texts and think it could be used by book groups who like short pieces.
