Mary Baker Eddy, author of this book as well as of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and Founder and Leader of the Christian Science movement, was born at Bow, near Concord, New Hampshire. As a child and as a young woman, Mrs. Eddy showed an exceptional interest in religious subjects, which in 1866 led to her monumental discovery of the system which she denominated Christian Science.

This reads more like a spiritual autobiography or memoir. A lot of good spiritual food for thought as well. It's amazing that it's a slim book too - as substantial as it is.
