Imagine if you were a kid, and your family supplied a quiet room with a desk that was stocked with brightly colored office supplies, including Post-It flags, highlighters, binders and folders. You'd feel ready to tackle any project your teachers threw your way! This is one of many great ideas Hoyle has for parents.

Hoyle also has a bunch of terrific recommendations for teachers, including acknowledging how kids feel about homework, starting an afternoon homework club, publishing a calendar of assignments at the start of the week, and offering one get-out-of-homework-free pass to each student per term.

This book includes lists of additional books (for kids and for adults) as well as online resources about managing the work and stress of homework.
