It's probably not the author's fault but my progress bogged down quite a bit once the book moved into the Storyboard development workflow. Xcode storyboards fail to deliver on the promise of separating visual design from code. The result feels like a waste of time hooking up methods for UI that doesn't *really* work. The book was straightforward enough and improved my familiarity with Objective-C programming but the heavy focus on storyboard development made it less useful to me.
