John Davies & Martin Parr: Sguardigardesani

Rate this book
This book looks at Lake Garda in Northern Italy through the lenses of two very different British photographers -- both of whom have gained recent international acclaim for their startling work. While John Davies presents sharp, black and white bird's-eye views of the landscape -- poetic images as meditations on the territory and its history -- Martin Parr presents ironic and colorful work, which focuses on people and tourism with a kind of hyper-realism. This book finds their two divergent approaches strangely complimentary.
