Introductory text to phlebotomy, for beginning students. Includes glossary, chapter review questions and answers, and frequently ordered lab tests. Halftone illustrations. Bloodletting - methods.
This was a pretty good companion to my phlebotomy course. The information is useful and organized well. Nothing about it really stood out as exceptional, but it did what it needed to do. A few of the chapters were less helpful to me, such as the customer service chapter which just felt like common sense without much unique advice. Sometimes it felt like it over-explained really basic ideas, but I suppose I would rather a textbook err on that end than not including enough information. On the whole, I was satisfied with what it offered.
This was a good textbook, easy to read and understand. I think I would have enjoyed sections with interesting trivia related to phlebotomy. Don't think I'll become a phlebotomist though...I get to anxious poking people with needles.
