I was able to utilize this "student edition" in print, however there seem to be about 300 pages missing from it as opposed to the classic "Blue Book" utilized by the American Planning Association. Among these missing pages include an overview of planning movements over the years, and other items that would be beneficial for reference.
Regardless, it's a high-quality resource that should be used when considering any planning actions. My recommendation is that it be used as a reference source when considering specific projects and planning efforts.
It would be excellent if the Blue Book was put back into regular print, as opposed to the student edition.
Excellent excellent excellent. I really appreciate the clear diagrams and breadth of material, from regional landscape to urban planning, architecture to civil engineering. This does exactly what a technical book should do—explain complex concepts in clear diagrams and short descriptions, allowing me to get what I need quickly, avoid the details I don’t need, and pursue more information elsewhere, if I need it.
