Millennia have passed since the twenty-first century demon wars when mankind so nearly succumbed to genetically altered mutants - The Quarter-men. Now only isolated pockets of struggling humanity survive.
One insular tribe The Seconchane, are developing sporadic psychic powers. Sometimes the gift fails and the unfortunates are banished from the Seconchane’s mountain valleys. Into this harsh reality comes Malkrin Owlear one of the Seconchane’s most gifted. But his incredible talent falters once too often . . .

Wow. Once I had started it I couldn't put it down. The fast pace just kept pulling me deeper into the story. I’ve just finished the first book and can’t wait to find the second Jadde book on Amazon

10 booksClive writes and loves to read speculative sci-fi and fantasy, in particular, anything to do with time travel, the paranormal, apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction. He has just released the first two novels in a new project titled The Interstellar Reincarnation Series. Book one is called Ring of Souls and book two is a prequel to Ring of Souls titled The 13 Reincarnation of Luke Arthur.
He has previously written three post-apocalyptic/sci-fi novels - Jadde, book one - The Fragile Sanctuary, book two, The Dark Tide and book three, World of Skulls. All these works have received a great deal of interest from his wife, old and new friends, recently gained followers, possible other world aliens, and his dogs.
For many years Clive painted vast alien landscapes peopled by strange creatures and weird plants. He exhibited paintings of these bizarre domains in major exhibitions at The Mall Galleries in London, England, The Royal Birmingham and a Sotheby's sponsored exhibition. He became an illustrator and has completed work for English tourist attractions The Natural History Museum, Westminster Abbey and Alton Towers. He has also worked in the printing industry, two horticultural research institutes and has run a car-parts warehouse. He occasionally fiddles with a bit of DIY and walks the Pembrokeshire coastal paths with his wife and dogs.

I don't know whether I'm supposed to review my own book! But this is what you can expect to read, in addition to the book description -
Jadde is not meant as a work of literary fiction – more a full-on smash and crash through a post-apocalyptic world. It's an action packed rocket-engine powered rollercoaster adventure that grips and never let’s go until the last sentence.
Join Malkrin, Seara and Nardin as they try to make sense of their insular world as it’s churned over by an invasion of super-aggressive mutants. And all they have is bronze-age weapons and the knowledge that the goddess Jadde will save them as she did the god-like ancients.
