Help, I'm Trapped in the Duvet

Rate this book
Most people understand that what an emergency is and only call out the police, fire brigade or ambulance when they really need to. However, there is a weird minority who will dial 911 if they lose their keys, if their phone isn't working, if they need a lift home from a party or even if they have become hopelessly trapped in their own duvet! This hilarious collection of true stories brings together some of the world's most ridiculous emergency calls.

Throwaway tome of ridiculous emergency service calls which is neither better nor worse than one would expect. The sort of book you'd read on the toilet.

My parents got me this little book of ridiculous emergency services calls for Christmas one year, because I got stuck in a duvet when I was a toddler and must be reminded of this story at every possible opportunity. I opened it up this week as a quick read while waiting for a better book to become available from the library. It's mildly diverting, but not very well written or edited. I did like the illustrations though - they reminded me a little bit of Quentin Blake's work.

An interesting 'coffee table book', but nothing with too much substance.
