Requiem for Goethe is about the relationship between two men, a Nazi officer and a young Jew in a concentration camp during the 2nd World War. An intense relationship that leaves questions open and inflicts wounds that will affect both their lives. In Moon over Rome, Charles meets Cristina at Cornell University and they fall in love. She is a visiting upper class Colombian, he is an American student. While on a visit to Bogota for their wedding arrangements, Charles is kidnapped by guerrillas. He spends three years in the jungle and is converted to their cause and becomes an aggressive and pitiless fighter. Jose Roig, Venezuelan, was born in Spain. He graduated in architecture from Cornell University and is a retired professor from the Simon Bolivar University in Caracas. Roig writes in Spanish and English and has published in both languages.
