A really interesting work. My favourite chapter is the 12th about Latch Contention, written by Riyaj Shamsudeen, that contains a wonderful description of the Latch acquisition algorithms and the Buffer Cache CBC structure.
Other really interesting chapters, because of the arguments that I prefer, are the last two chapters about Security, written by Pete Finnigan.
All the chapters are very well written by a team of Oracle top experts!
