There is a fold-out touring map for motorists, which also locates the various walking areas. Timetables are given for local transport. The Maltese archipelago is a wonderful walking destination almost all year round, with so much historical interest as well as magnificent coastal scenery. This is the only guide to the islands that is updated annually by the author; his findings are posted online, with specific route change information where necessary.
