Usborne First Reading Level 2

The Christmas Cobwebs

Rate this book
This is an enchanting retelling of a traditional German tale, written for children just learning to read.
It's Christmas Eve and all is ready for Christmas - until seven spiders cover the tree in cobwebs. Will Christmas Day be ruined - or can Father Christmas save the Day?

In this title, clear, compelling text is matched with lively illustrations, and puzzles at the back consolidate learning. Part of the successful "Usborne First Reading" series, it is developed in consultation with Alison Kelly, Principal Lecturer in Education and reading specialist at Roehampton University.

Day 1 of an Advent calendar. Magical story for kids with cute illustrations. Loved the spiders, and it was cute how the cat appeared on each page.

We have the Usborne Advent Calendar of books for myself and Nell this year. She enjoyed this first story, and sat on my knee looking at the pictures, attempting to hold the dinky book in her hands.
