This is a very short book; worth checking out if you're interested in the topic. Like other For Dummies books, this is meant as an introduction to Mindfulness. It includes some sample exercises (and a link to download guiding audio). Alidina highlights the benefits of practicing mindfulness, and they provide guidance on how to do that (over several weeks/months).
I can't speak to how this book compares to similar ones on this topic, but, again, it's very short so not a big commitment if you end up not liking it. I read a copy from my local library.
Relatedly: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has several apps available relating to health and wellness. Mindfulness Coach is freely available on iOS and Android and has some text resources as well as a library of audio guidance (and an option to track and check-in on your mindfulness practice). The VA also has meditation, yoga, and other apps available; I definitely recommend checking them out.
Nothing really special about this book there are Hundreds of other ones with the exact same information. Don't waste your time if your familiar with others meditation books. There nothing new in this one
