Many men have climbed mountains to reach God, and while there's beauty in that, there's something about Christ coming to women - right where they are. This book contains stories of modern-day women feeling Christ in their every day life and might just help you feel Him in yours.
This book was so powerful! It will forever be one of my favorites. I feel like I can relate so much to Aubrey and what she has been through. Postpartum depression and anxiety is not talked about much. I felt lonely and lost when I experienced it. This book made me feel like I am normal and made me aware that SO many women struggle with this! I also loved reflecting on my own life and seeing how He has come for me! Thank you Aubrey for such an amazing book.
“Christ experienced mortality to truly understand the pain and heartache we would feel.”
Five stars for the courageous women who openly shared their stories of encountering Christ, illustrating His understanding of the challenges we all face.
I really like the concept this book is trying to teach, that we, as women, are all worthy of Christ. We may feel as though we or He has stepped back when we are in the throes of life and "busy-ness", but his loving hand is there reaching to us. The author tells her personal story and ends the book with a series of other women's individual stories. It is a good book. I lost interest a few times and had to come back around to finish it, but I did finish.
I knew the moment I held this book in my hands it was powerful. The words that Aubrey starts the book out are so powerful and brought the spirit to my mind! ‘Why doesn’t God send us to earth with weapons or some kind of protection? A thought followed that stopped me in my tracks - He did. He sent Mothers.’ So impactful. I will be rereading this with a highlighter in hand!
The only thing I have to say is that I wish there was more to read about Aubrey’s story but I loved so many testaments from various women - it strengthened my testimony and helped me to reflect on times when He has come for ME
I found this book uplifting and inspiring! There were several of the short stories that didn’t resonate or were far too condensed and without enough content. But overall it was an enjoyable, uplifting read!
This volume is filled with sweet accounts of Jesus' love and peace meeting the deepest needs of women. I am encouraged and strengthened in my faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
