97 Needlepoint Alphabets

Rate this book
Each alphabet or number in this book is graphed full size, so the graphs can be easily transferred to your canvas. They are not all one size, the vary in size from as large as 24 threads to as small as 5 threads. They are organized in order, with the smallest in the front of the book, ranging to the largest in the back. The variety of letterings is amazing.

This book is intended for needlepoint, but the charts are also perfect for cross-stitch. The book contains many patterns not found in most needlepoint books.

This book wowed and delighted me with the wide variety of lettering styles it contains! You can even choose an alphabet by size - the largest ones are several lines thick, and may have decorative elements inside the line weight!

A very nice selection of alphabet fonts for use in needlepoint, cross stitch, and embroidery work. Each alphabet is presented on grid paper, making it easier to replicate in your own pieces. The book was published in 1975, so the fonts lend themselves to a more vintage feel. You won't find Helvetica and Comic Sans here, but you will find some super groovy fonts. I found one in particular, #21 to be similar to what The Electric Company on PBS used for their title. All in all a good collection worth having in your personal library.
