For me this was a totally new approach to light and shadows. Its reads well for a book that is based on technical instruction to see different ways of apply light and shadow in your art. Looking forward to expanding my skills with my new knowledge

Good book on the subject. It gives you a lot to think about and helps you see differently when painting. Still I'm not sure how much of these techniques I am willing to do as a casual artist. Thus 4 stars.

This book changed the way I saw light and shadow and as such, is a great reference.

Incredibly helpful if not sometimes inflexible sounding. The logic is sound, thumbnail examples make sense, and artist recommendations very useful.
