Ireland 1169-1500 starts with a bridging unit, designed to ease the transition from primary school, that focuses on the skills a historian needs. It then goes on to look at the idea of identity and how our identity is shaped by the past. This leads into stimulating historical enquiries within the period.It concludes by asking the students to evaluate what they have learnt and to look forward to Year 9 - particularly focusing on how to further develop their historical skills.
