2025 52 Book Challenge - Summer Connections Mini Challenge -5) +/- 30 Pages To Previous Book (my previous book was Family by Owen Mullen at 429 pages)
The Betrayal
This was a good read, though Jess appears less than normal, and I feel like there needed to be more conversation at the end. After weeks of being blamed for the fire, Jenny just forgives everybody for blaming her when it's revealed that it wasn't her.
Rating - 3* / 5*
The Sacrifice
Okay, I really didn't like this one. Really, they should have been doing more to help Fiona than asking the girl she bullied to lend her dog, who Fiona had bullied and thrown things at previously. The adults in this book really frustrated me and it wasn't a logical series of events.
Rating - 2* / 5*
The Homecoming
What is with everybody disbelieving Jenny all the time? They all talk about how she's a lovely trustworthy girl, but everytime she says anything, everybody turns against her, I just don't get it. I kinda just want to slap her father.
