originally published in 1829, this book covers the years 1812 to 1816 with an account of the seizing of the author's vessel at the Falkland Islands by an English crew whom he had just rescued from the horrors of a shipwreck; and of their abandoning him on an uninhabited Island, where he resided nearly two years.
