Founded on the work of the renowned Advanced Combustion Engineering Research Center, the authors document and integrate current knowledge of the organic and inorganic structure of coal and its reaction processes. With the urgent need for cleaner, more efficient use of this worldwide fuel, their work will set a clear course for future research.
I didn't realize how ill-defined coal was until I read this book. The penultimate chapter goes into way too much detail on modeling devolatization rate process and is sure to put you to sleep. The rest of the book is worth the read if you are interested in coal. On a side note, why the hell is so much money dumped into research of these topics and there is no implementation into real life applications.
