I picked this book up at a used book sale because I'm a fan of Magic Eye pictures in general and I thought it would be interesting to read it. It's pretty short and there are magic eye pictures every other page or so. The mystery is very simple with a pool of 5 suspects and a dead body found on the yacht. They all had opportunity and motive and the inspector had to figure out who the real bad guy was. I found the writing style to be unappealing. The dialogue was a little stilted and unreal. I was disappointed that the magic eye pictures didn't have anything to do with the actual mystery. They just showed simple scenes from the reading. I feel like the author missed an opportunity to make the pictures part of the mystery.

January 8, 2017An entertaining fictionalized account of the events of the early days of ww1 of the naval actions and people from the people prospective. Sad to read in part because most of the people did not survive the encounters with their enemies.
