Excellent book, suddenly ruined by seeing the awful Bloor, Thai built bike. These are in no way connected to the heritage of the real Triumph Bonneville and have no place in this book. Very sad.

My son Spencer bought this for me for a Christmas present. I am only a few chapters in, but am pleasantly surprised. The writing is better than one would expect from a "book about motorcycles" with a nice mix of historical detail with a sense of the character of the main figures, including the bikes.
As an owner of a Hinckley Bonneville, and former TR6 owner--a Meriden bike, this is entertaining indeed.
