Finally, we get to see the wedding of Brandon and Finley! Brandon, who’s part of the Blackout team, and Finley, who’s a tech wiz, only want to have this day happen the way they dreamed of. The problem is that things keep happening to create havoc and destruction.
Will everyone find out what’s truly going on and who’s pulling all the strings? Can Brandon and Finley finally get their day?
In this story, the entire gang comes together to help figure out what’s happening and uncover the truth. We get to see many of the previous characters from the Lantern Beach series, and some of the other past connections come together to try to solve this crazy mystery.
If you’ve read any of Christy Barritt’s books, then you know she is a master at storytelling and weaving crazy, breath-stealing moments into all her books. This one is no exception. Christy Barritt wrote a story full of suspense, action, twists, and turns. I was shocked at who the bad guy was and how it all tied together. Wow!
This story will keep you on the edge of your seat until you finish it. Be prepared not to put it down, even to eat or sleep! If you like twists and turns, “who-done-it” stories, then you need to buy this book!

I usually love and look forward to Christy Barritts books. This one, however, was very disappointing.
First, I knew the real "bad guy" very early on.
Why, you may ask? Poor Finely was hurt by her friend in the last Brandon/Finley book. I'm surprised to see that she can trust anyone at this point since all of her good friends end up trying to ruin her.
Second, sadly the last few books happening in Lantern Beach have been mediocre. Guessing the "bad guy" early every time because they're always mentioned as being so great and trustworthy is now the norm. It's over the top gushing about their kindness.
I love Cassidy and the original Lantern Beach people. I have reread those books many times. But I do think it's time to say good bye to Lantern Beach and move on to another area with new stories. Like I said, I love almost all of Christy Barritts books and will continue to read (and honestly review) them.

Brandon and Finley finally got their happily ever after.
Loved being back in Lantern Beach once again. Brandon and Finley story was exciting from start to finish. Their happily ever after was finally here. But somebody didn't t want that for them. Somebody very close to them but they didn't know it. It took them and the Blackout team to find the answers. This person wanted to break them up for good. So they played on Finley emotions. But Brandon had always known that they should be togethor. So he faught his way through. In the end they got there happily ever after. Looking forward to being apart of the happily ever after for the rest of the blackout crew who are engaged and not married yet. Christy keep up the good work your books are exciting. Brandon and Finley never stopped loving each other.

Once again, Christy Barritt brings action, romance, and some mystery to her readers.
It's Brandon and Finley's wedding day but before they can say I do, Finley is arrested for treason.
From there it's a race against time to find out the truth before it's too late.
The action was good from the opening pages and kept me engaged throughout the story. There was a point when I thought I had figured out who was behind this.
The only disappointment is we're no closer to knowing what's really happening at Oceans Essence.

Another fabulous read set in Lantern Beach. It's Brandon and Finley's wedding day, but before they can say "I do" to each other, federal agents arrest Finley for treason.
Brandon, Finley, and the Blackout team investigate who had set Finley up for treason as the attacks and danger escalate. Will they be able to prove Finley's innocence or will Finley spend the rest of her life in prison?
I enjoyed the mystery, action, and suspense in this story and was waiting for Brandon and Finley to have their HEA. The author did an incredible job of who the person was that had set Finley up for treason and why.

I had a BETA Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Brandon Hale and Findley Cooper’s wedding is interrupted when the FBI arrest Findley for treason. Brandon is determined to prove her innocent, and to protect her once she is released on bail. While they are looking into possible suspects for who may have framed her, there are attempts on their lives, and people following them. The suspense in this book continues to escalate, until Findley leaves Lantern Beach. The plot definitely holds your interest throughout the book. Another great story by Christy Barritt

What could be worse for a bride than to be arrested as she walked down the aisle? How about being accused of being a traitor? This story uses so many events that you could find in today's headlines, it's really scary! Finley and Brandon are thrust into this scenerio with someone framing Finley with high tech software. How can you fight against that? And why would someone do this to Finley? Be warned, you may be surprised at the end. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.

Finley and Brandon have already been through so much before they had a chance to get to know each other and fall in love. Finally, the day has arrived that both of them has been waiting for, the day to walk down the aisle and begin their lives as husband and wife. No one in attendance expected for federal agents to disrupt the ceremony and take Finley into custody for treason! Finley and Brandon and their friends have to try to figure out who is setting her up before they can go through with the wedding.

Possibly the best yet
Deceptive Shallows is quite possibly Christy Barritt's best Lantern Beach episode yet. The action starts with a bummed out wedding where everything that could go wrong does, and is only exacerbated when the FBI shows up to arrest the bride before she makes it down the aisle. The action is non-stop from there as Finley & Brandon are tracked everywhere they go. There must be an inside leak! But who?

This intriguing suspense novel begins with a wedding that gets interrupted by the FBI. Things go downhill from there. How could the bride be guilty of treason, and how can she prove her innocence? The fast-paced story keeps readers hooked and wondering how it will all work out. The author does a great job, as usual, and takes readers on a wild journey with the intrepid characters. Finley and Brandon
Wedding day and the FBI come in and arrest Finley. Arrest the Bride why would they do that. Amanda her maid of honor,was also her attorney for her company. Thank goodness Ty was one of Brandon’s groomsmen. Ty called his wife; the sheriff and she couldn’t even stop the FBI from arresting Finley. I hated putting the book down when I had an errand to do. Another great Christy Barrett Lantern Beach mystery.

My thoughts: Deceptive Tides is a fast paced romantic suspence that keeps you engaged as you race through the pages to see who-dun it. I guess who the villian is right away but had to keep reading to see if I was right. Ms Barritt is a talented author and writes quickly so she has new books coming out all the time. I'm a bit behind in my reading. Grab your copy of Decptive Shadows today. Recommended. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.

This book, Deceptive Shallows, is outstanding. From the beginning to the end, the action doesn’t stop. The main characters, Brandon and Finley, are challenged from the beginning when their wedding is stopped. Their love is continually challenged throughout the story. The twists, in the plot, are very suspenseful. Great read!

I just love this author. From beginning to the last page you are hooked, all of her books. I have not started one without finishing it, wishing I could just read straight through. I can't wait for more books, what will happen to our friends in her stories.

Great book
Christy Barritt is absolutely one of my favorite authors. This 5th book in the "Lantern Beach Exposure" series is a great book. This whole series is awesome and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Like this series.
This book didn't grab me like the others and I knew the guilty party earlier than when it was revealed. I kept reading to see how it would end. A good book but a little disappointing since I so rarely figure out the guilty party.

Excitingly exhausting
The suspense never let's up as Finley and Brandon's wedding is ruined and they try to find the answer to the fake charges against Finley. Loved how Brandon's belief in her never wavered and her love for him was selfless. Exciting conclusion.

Whew, exciting to the last minute!
Great read, just like all of them in the Lantern Beach series. I hope these continue after the last one in the Exposure series. I've spent the entire summer engulfed in these. I feel like I know the characters as friends.

I'm so glad my wedding day wasn't like Finley & Branden's. Her troubles keep getting worse throughout the whole book until Branden finally gets help from his buddies. This is the first book by Ms. Barrett that I figured out who was behind the problem. Such a great mystery that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Had me holding my breath!
This author gets better with each book in the series! Would Finley and Brandon make it down the aisle? With the FBI arresting Finley during their wedding and her looking at a lifetime in prison it doesn't seem likely! Will they find out the truth?

The best book yet!
These books from Lantern Beach just keep getting better and better. I could not put this book down. I was immediately drawn into the story of Finley and Brandon. I had to finish it as soon as possible.

liked all of the books in the series until now, this one not as quite as much.
The novel was good as were all of the previous novels in the series. However, felt the ending was a little too abrupt. Would still recommend the series, however
