A Companion to Eastern European Cinemas showcases twenty-five essays written by established and emerging film scholars that trace the history of Eastern European cinemas and offer an up-to-date assessment of post-socialist film cultures.
I have only read a few chapters so far, however, this books is a must have if one explores and researches European cinema or independent cinema. Loved how the author explored the undermined Baltic and Latvian cinema, throughout the years, whilst providing context, symbolism and analysis. Must have in my collection!
