The Province of West New Jersey, 1609-1702: A history of the origins of an American colony

From the book's Foreword, "This volume narrates the history of the area or province known popularly after 1674 as West Jersey. Since the Dutch and Swedes were in the area long before as explorers, traders, and settlers, a portion of the volume treats of their activities. That story is an integral part of the history of New jersey. Certainly, the early history of the state would be imperfectly understood without it."
