Pocket Atlas of Pediatric Ultrasound

Rate this book
This pocket atlas depicts the normal ultrasound anatomy of the brain, liver, adrenal gland, kidney, pelvis, testis, hip, and spine and the normal ultrasound appearance of the vasculature in neonates, infants, and children. It contains 140 clear, detail-revealing ultrasound scans and drawings. Special attention is given to areas such as the kidney where normal pediatric anatomy differs markedly from normal adult anatomy and where appearances that are normal for neonates, infants, and children can be mistaken for disease. The book also provides extensive coverage of the brain, hip, and spine, where ultrasound studies are not commonly performed in adults. Anatomic landmarks on each ultrasound scan are clearly labeled and each scan is accompanied by a drawing of the plane of section.
