Suddenly, with a mighty shove, a thin crack of light appeared all the way up the trunk of the tree. At first it was hard to see, but as Chrissy kept working, the silvery glow became thicker and thicker. Chrissy then stood and put her entire weight on the crack. That did it! It was as if a door was specifically cut into the tree. The door swung open, and Chrissy tumbled inside! Join Chrissy, a fun, adventurous young girl who discovers another world and helps the Winglet people she meets there. Adventures with the Winglets is an exciting story filled with friendships, danger, enchantments, and more!
I was amazed and blown away by this young author who wrote an exciting tale and is an inspiration to young children. My students are excited to write their own stories thanks to this brilliant author.
A very good read for YA readers! Very story driven, but not a lot of detail (fluff). It was a quick read, one that I didn't want to put down once I started! I enjoyed the plot and could have read a lot more of this. Kudos to the 11 year old Carolyn Neuman for a fun story!
