Case Study: Released

Rate this book
Perspective may be relative, but rock bottom proves even more elusive for twenty-two-year-old Jesse Hanover. He fears there is no floor when it becomes evident his nightmare as an imprisoned psychiatric patient has only begun. It was hard enough fighting a conspiracy of enemies; he doesn’t know what to do with the one crafted by allies. Confusion explodes into chaos at the introduction of Nathan, a new patient who seems trapped in the same mysterious spiral toward destruction. Now, Jesse has no choice but to risk his life to save them both from forces he can’t understand, let alone explain.

Troubled foster child Emily Cordova navigates her own path for survival as a forgotten teen fighting generations of demons. Abandoned and alone, she’s ready to disappear once and for all into the heartless system intent on ignoring her. Yet, even destiny may be no match for her fearless young doctor who challenges everything she knows by refusing to accept the inevitable.

It’s illusion. It’s choice. It’s an examination of the hope and horror of human nature. It’s the stunning final chapter in this Case Study.

I really enjoyed both books! The second was as wonderfully written as the first. I can't wait for another book to read by Allison M. Simon!
