My 5-year-old son checked this one out from our local bookmobile. He loves anything to do with ships, planes or pirates--this had all three! It had lots of good information, some interesting speculation about the possible explanations of the disappearances, and it was written on a level that he could understand and enjoy. We read the whole thing in one sitting!

My son and I read three books about the Bermuda Triangle. This one offered a couple of possible explanations that the other two did not suggest. (Methane gas bubbles from fissures in the ocean floor, and water spouts)

This book is level N for guided reading. I liked it because the explanations were good for kids on why the Bermuda Triangle got its name.
