Rate this book
This text was designed with the novice computer user in mind. Each chapter is divided into short sections that describe the statistic being used, important underlying assumptions, and how to interpret the results and express them in a research report. Over 200 screenshots demonstrate the use of the program and output. Student exercises help students achieve full mastery of SPSS. New to this The seventh edition encompasses the changes IBM made after acquiring SPSS, Inc. This includes returning to the original SPSS name, instead of using the short-lived PASW name. The text includes all new screenshots, and it now functions for all versions up to the recently released Version 20.

As a doctoral student, this book has been my SPSS statistical procedure bible. I also used it all throughout my Master's Degree program as well. It provides everything - from the SPSS executions to how your SPSS output should be reported in a results section.
