I loved this book. Dr. Lea takes you through breaking apart step by step the Lord's Prayer described by Jesus in Matthew 6. Implementing the ideas in this book has transformed my prayer life. I no longer feel I have a lackluster prayer life and not only are prayers being answered on a regular basis, I am growing closer to God. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in growing their prayer life.

It is our Father's divine purpose to take up residence in each person's spiritual "temple" so that each person becomes a "house of prayer." Instead, many of us have allowed a "den of thieves" to seize control. ~ Dr. Larry Lea, "Releasing the Prayer Anointing", p. 21

This book examines the Lord's prayer and the 7 arteries of this prayer and how we can use this prayer as our model prayer when coming before our Father. For example, the beginning of the Lord's prayer begins with "Our Father". This is not saying, "My Father", but "Our Father"; therefore, we are coming before God as the Body of Christ and for others and not merely for ourselves.

Larry Lea also explains the different levels of prayer a believer can go through.

I found I began to pray more, as I read this book and was encouraged to pray more and to use some of Larry Lea's counsel as I prayed. Larry Lea is not a novice prayer warrior, but a seasoned prayer warrior and it would be good for all of us to learn and be mentored to be more effective in our prayers and intercessions by him. He truly has been given the gift of intercession.
