Embroidery pour le Jardinier presents more than one hundred designs to add charm to things you use in the garden and twenty-one needlework steps teaching how to do this. In no time you'll be hand-stitching cherry motifs to seed bags, butterflies to tool kits, and scarecrows and pumpkins to your gloves and smocks. The designs featured inside will allow you to personalize your gardening accessories and create lovely embroidered gifts for your friends.
This is a small book, mostly photographs and diagrams (patterns to transfer). There isn't a lot of content, so if I had paid the full price of $12.99, I may have been disappointed, but since I paid 60% less, I am happy to have it. The designs are universal; I do not feel the French influence. As a matter of fact, it feels very vintage American, employing mostly running stitch and backstitch, but I am happy to have the book for inspiration.
