A solid introduction to the study of homeland security. This is an accessible volume. People interested in the subject should be able to read and get something out of this work.
It covers relevant material, such as the origin of the idea of homeland security, laws related to the subject, risk management, threats, intergovernmental issues, the role of intelligence, and so on.
All in all, a useful introduction. . . .
