Arnold Grossman logged a good deal of time as an observer of the Los Angeles scene where he worked as a film and television producer, and as a writer for both episodic and reality television. Since moving from L.A. to Colorado, Grossman has worked as a journalist, advertising executive, and media consultant to candidates such as Senator Gary Hart, Governor Richard Lamm, and Mayor Wellington Webb. He has written humor pieces for The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News as well as features for national magazines, including Redbook and Good Housekeeping.
In 2000, following the Columbine massacre, Grossman cofounded and served as copresident of SAFE Colorado, a bipartisan advocacy group dedicated to reasonable gun control. The group launched a successful ballot initiative to close the state's gun show loophole and was recognized by President Bill Clinton for its efforts. Grossman is the coauthor of two political novels with Governor Richard Lamm. He has also recently published the nonfiction title One Nation Under Guns: An Essay on an American Epidemic.
