Princess Rhonda had a wonderful life in the tower with only one window and no doors. She had everything she needed in it. Magic made her food and did all of the chores for her. Rhonda had practically everything she wanted in the tower… Except friends, and because her window was so high up, no one on the ground could see Rhonda crying, for she was lonely. That is, until Little Jack looked up.

I like the story of this book. It’s very kid friendly. The idea of a tower where magic does everything, I find that pretty cool. I think this book is perfect for k-2nd graders because of the length and reading level. Little Jack is a nice, devoted friend to Rhonda. I like that. He is a great role model. I like the idea that everyone just though the princess was perfectly happy and none of them ever noticed she was crying because peasants are not supposed to look at princesses. Jack broke the rule and looked up. :) The illustrations are very cheerful. I like all of the color in them.
