Are you ready for a new way to learn the alphabet? This isn't your average A B C's. Those of you who remember, "She sells seashells by the seashore," will enjoy this book immensely. A twist has been added to the basic "A is for apple" that will make learning the alphabet crazy fun. Alliteration has been used for each letter of the alphabet. Alliteration is the repetition of initial consonant sounds in two or more neighboring words.
I have the Kindle version, so the print version might differ. The illustrations were cute, and the subject matter interesting, but the English grammar was occasionally poor (as in the entry for "N") and the French translations incorrect (e.g. Henry the hippopotamus in English became Henry's hippopotamus in French.) Worse yet, my kid was not as interested in this book as in the other French-English books we've read on the Kindle. It probably works better as an alliterative alphabet in just English, though perhaps it's more successful in other languages than it is here.
