This is so far remarkably terrible, so much so I may just give up on it. But I am amused (in that 'someone is wrong on the Internet' fashion) that Stringer is framing Brooke as someone who was pursued lustfully by women and escaped their ravenous maws using his intellect. I suppose given that the information he had was vetted by Brooke's puritan mother, it is not surprising, but I do wonder if Stringer knew just what a lustful rake Brooke actually was.
Yes, it was quite terrible. An interesting cultural artifact but will I ever have those minutes of my life back? No.
