The author of these memoirs is a senior Japanese man who witnessed when he was 8 eight years old to the atomic bombing of his hometown, Hiroshima. Takashi lost both his parents & 2 sisters to the bombing. He became an orphan and a hooligan looking for food in garbage cans. He was rescued from his miserable plight by friends who cared and when he was 18 he emigrated to North America vowing in his heart to revenge his father's death upon Americans. (The author adores the shining memory of his father). Within North America however the author was converted to Christianity, forgiveness, peace, and reconciliation. This book vaunts an extremely timely message even though the author suffered all his life long from the obnoxious after effects of the radiation.
