It's time for Sonic Adventure!

It's really fun seeing Sonic Adventure jammed into the Archie universe, but it's very uneven. There are way too many plot elements jammed in here, and you can see Archie really struggling here to keep to the video game's story without tripping over all the other characters and storylines it currently has going. It mostly works, but leads to some odd moments.

There is a lot of talk in this universe about 'overlanders' (humans) and I always assumed they lived on a different part of the world, so it should have been easy to create Station Square. But apparently this isn't the case as they have to come up with some reason why Station Square is hidden underground. It's odd and unnecessary and very indicative of how awkward this mix can be at times.

Here, the book cribs from and promotes Sonic Adventure.

This might be the best one yet. The issues try to tell too many stories in sequence; it would have been a lot easier to break it up into six parts like they do in the game itself. But they're relatively coherent stories. The stakes build at a relatively even pace. The characters' goals are clear and understandable.

Moreover, the art seems to have improved a lot in some places.

Maybe it's easy when large chunks are already written for you. I think it's probably hard, too.

At any rate, this is not of any interest to anyone other than people who remember the game fondly. So it's probably not actually a *good* comic.
