About the author

Clark Chamberlain is a true son of the west. Born in northern Idaho during the nation's bicentennial, Clark has always been a man on the move. He’s lived in ten states and two countries on two continents. He’s been homeless, built houses, gone to war, and tore his lunch cooler from the mouth of a bear.

This constant traveling has made him a wanderer, always in search of himself. On the way he’s met some of the most interesting people in the world, all of which gives him the ability to write about the incredible world he sees.

Clark is a veteran of the Iraq war, the author of three books, illustrator of two children’s books, and is an educator on storytelling.

He is currently living in Idaho Falls.

I had the pleasure of reading Loves Deception by Clark Chamberlain. I was given this book in exchange for my honest review and I have to say I was hooked from the very beginning. Clark immediately draws you in with a fair amount of suspense in the Prologue and then you immediately go on to learn more about the main characters. As the plot thickens, the characters become more real and seem to draw you into the story so much that you find yourself rooting for them. Nice love story tied together with a suspense and deception. Definitely a must read.

The twist at the end was not what I was expecting. At All. I thought I was figuring it out along the way and then my theories were thrown out the window with a couple twists I didn't see coming. Enjoyable read.

This book was exciting and kept my interest from the first chapter. There are several good characters, more action than I had anticipated, and a twist that surprised me. An impressive debut novel for Chamberlain.

Review: Loves Deception was a fairly quick read (274 pages), but it was packed full of emotion and scenery. I loved the way the author was able to combine Mabel's intensity with Henry's problems. A very well described book makes me a very happy camper, and this book didn't lack in detail. Loves Deception had everything I look for in a book. Vivid scenery, fantastic characters, and a paramount plot.

Okay so this review is a little slanted because I wrote the book. But I love reading this book as much as I loved writing it.

If you want to read a high impact character driven book you'll enjoy Loves Deception.
