The Aviation Survival Course was developed to provide survival training for personnel in aviation related military occupational specialties and contains four subcourses that were originally distributed in a paper-based format in 1993. In 2001, many courses, including the Aviation Survival Course, was converted to electronic format and distributed via the consolidated Army Correspondence Course Program (ACCP) through the online Army Training Support Center LMS platform.
The course has since been discontinued.
This compilation is a collection of the four subcourses, as was presented in their original publications. The subcourses are Part I. Survival elements, psychological aspects, and survival medicine, Part II - Protection from the environment, Part III – Sustenance, and Part Direction finding, signaling, and recovery.
